Life Line Home Care Services has received notification from Smiths Medical, the manufacturer of Bivona Tracheostomy Tubes, of a potential defect with select Neonatal/Pediatric and Adult Tracheostomy products. 

 

Smiths has identified that the securement flange of impacted tubes may tear due to a manufacturing defect. If torn, the tube may not stay in position in the trachea.
